Stacey Bendet has done it again. In a departure from last season's more romantic, girly ensembles, the Resort '12 lookbook it all about retro silhouettes and saturated candy-colors that pack a punch.
Mod dresses and maxi skirts are perfectly punctuated by wide-brimmed, divalicious hats, waists are defined by chunky belts, and funky plastic accessories complete the looks that all exude a modern play on the '70s trend that's oh, so popular.
The purple jumpsuit definitely brings to mind sultry supermodel Veruscka, while the mini-mod dresses are Twiggy all the way. Perhaps what was most noticeable is the mix of black and white prints intermingling with the bold colors, which gives a sophisticated edge to this otherwise bright and playful collection.
Sigh, we're so ready to take these retro looks for a spin at the beach immediately...can you say summer vacation?
